I'm having a little difficulty understanding the German version of the poem. Maybe we could work on it to polish it and get the same meaning as you have in the English.
ReplyDeleteOne thing with translations, particularly of poetry, is that one often cannot maintain the same imagery, meter, AND rhyme. That's part of what makes it such a challenging craft.
